Captain Marvel really is an important piece of the MCU, also a pretty awesome piece of art for every one. This article may reveal some of the movie's content and if you haven't seen the movie yet, please turn around to homepage and read other articles, please proceed at your own risk.
Captain Marvel is the 21st film of Marvel Studios, it narrates the adventures of Carol Danvers/Vers on her voyage to regain her lost memories on Earth. The film does not only play an important linkage role for Captain Marvel with Avengers: Endgame, it also reveals more details on the Kree and Skrull races, the special relationship between Carol and Nuck Fury, as well as... the CAT ( Yes, the CAT, I'm talking about the actual animal, the cat that was on the spotlight through all the film promotion campaign.).
In general, the film did meet most of our expectations: the explanations, some humors and especially the epic action scenes.
First of all, Captain Marvel revealed numerous secrets and explanations for details that we have been wondering in other Avengers films, it also opens more stories and possibilities for later film, like the up coming Avengers: Endgame. The story line is very fluent and continuous, which is quite difficult for me because I had to spend the whole 2 hours staring at the screen just to catch up every little details, yes it did an excellent job.
All of the details combine together to create a surprisingly well told story which very logical and interesting. Every little detail contribute to the big portrait of Vers, the secrets behind the millennium war of the Kree and Skrull, and even Nick Fury's eye-patch. The layered structure of the film gives good impression by intertwining conversations with actions shots. This helps make the film more understandable to regular viewers as well as satisfying those Marvel's hardcore fans.
Captain Marvel has not only done a great job blending in the much crowded MCU, it has also told an impressive story on Coral Danvers adventures, in the discovery of her own power and her origin. The film is excellent as a standalone motion picture for regular viewer to enjoy it, and very importantly it blended in the MCU gran picture nicely. Captain Marvel may not be a perfect film of the year, but obviously it is very high quality and should be recommended. I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars.
