Cave of the Crystals
Discovered by two brothers in Mexico in 2000, Cueva de Los Cristales houses some of the largest natural crystals in the world. With air temperatures reaching 58°C and a humidity between 90 and 99 percent, this cave is unfortunately closed to the public.
Rainbow Mountains, China
The Zhangye Danxia National Park is where you can find the Rainbow Mountains. These geologically formed mountains display a large variety of colors, layered alike layer cakes.
On the border between Argentina and Brasil, the largest congregation of waterfalls are gathering here. Stretching 2.7 km, walking around this water resounding place, it's truly worthy of a spot in the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park
Millions of years of erosion shaped the limestone bed into the karsten plateau we see today. The 'Tsingy', as they are called in Madagascar, translates to English as 'where one cannot walk barefoot', and you really shouldn't. These razor-sharp knife-like rocks protrude upward and will cut through flesh like butter.
Once a plug for a volcano, its Icelandic name meaning 'white shirt' derives from the secretions dropped on the rock by the nesting birds. Hammered by countless Atlantic waves, two holes were bashed at its foundation, leaving an outline of a mystic animal drinking water.
This volcano on the Indonesian island Flores has three summit crater lakes. Each lake has a noticeably different tint but what really makes them special is that they change color periodically.
Plitvice Lakes National Park
A total of 16 interconnected lakes makes the famous Croatian park with different colored water in a near pristine landscape, packed immense varied in flora and fauna, surrounded by lush forest, located in a mountainous, remote region, worth a crammed visitation .
Algar de Benagil
Located near the world famous Marinha beach, this breathtaking grotto is only reachable by sea.
Antelope Canyon, Arizona
Cherished by photographers, admired by sightseers, Antilope Canyon consist of two isolated breathtaking canyon sections. Because it's on Navajo land, the only way to visit them is by guided tours.
